Lovely antique piece – at least 100 years old. Brass kankavati for Puja. Ganesh on lid which screws up and down to enable each of the 7 chambers to be opened. Used in private templates at home for Hindu worship. The chambers are used to store the different coloured powders used for worshipping the deities. Each of the seven compartments are hinged and can be opened separately.
